OBJETIVES
"NEW WORLD THREATENING OLD WORLD"
Our project mainly focuses on local environmental issues and the subsequent consequences. Nowadays, pollution is everywhere: in our seas, in the soil, the air… the New World has serious environmental problems ranging from land degradation, intensive farming, climate change, overpopulation, exploitation of natural resources to pollution (aesthetic, water, air). That is why we want our students to fight against on any environmental issues however. We will share our ideas, and take serious steps to improve the quality of our planet on a local basis, and foster an environmental awareness. Therefore, the main objectives of this project are:
. · To foster and promote a European dimension at our local schools.
· To get familiar with environmental pollution from a local to a universal basis.
· To allow students from different backgrounds come together, learn from each others and try to face the environmental problems.
· To use English as a vehicle of communication.
· To get familiar with other modern European languages to get a cross-cultural communication and cooperation through the project activities.
· To use different teaching and learning methods,
· To create more innovative materials and to develop a more democratic attitude towards the students with the impact of shared European values.
· And this will lead the integration of the school into the European educational system.
All partners will be responsible for:
· contributing to the effective cooperation and communication using the ICT
· all dissemination activities
· the Project Room and the Project Logo Competition
· bulletin boards about the participant countries
· regular meetings with local authorities and parents
· incorporating local schools into the project activities especially the recycling activities and competitions
· organising the Art, Essay and Poster Competitions among local schools
· workshops on cultural manners during the mobility visits
· conferences about Recycling Materials and the Global Warming
· organising open days and guide visits through the project period
· applying the questionaires on environment and 4 elements
· all recycling activities
· applying the Compost Method
· taking care of a certain place (a park/beach/lake) on certain days of each month
· ETC.
